Well boys and girl here we go the Congress is starting to isolate free speech and getting ready to reinstate the Fairness Doctrine. See below: cnsnews.com/public/content/article.aspx?RsrcID=42616This is getting silly. Face it, Rush has every right as citzen to say he hopes Obama fails. That's part of the first ammendment the freedom of speech. If you don't like what he says don't listen. I wonder if Chris Matthews and company said they hoped Bush failed as president (hell they pratically did). And the Republicans started a position against them, everyone would scream at the Republicans and cry foul against a violation of free speech. It's simple, the shoe is on the other foot, and the Dems can't stand anyone saying anything inflamatory about the President. Plus the cheap shots against Rush, and a petion against him looks silly. For those of you who don't know the Doctrine would in essence require privately owned radio stations to give equal time opposing view points. This is a violation of the first ammendment it's simple if you don't like someone is saying turn it off. The government has no right to force privately owned companies to offer alternative programing. It's Basically the Liberals are upset because Conservatives have a firm foot hold on Radio. Look it's not there fault. Liberals haven't figured out how to master radio. Every talk show started by a Liberal fails. Maybe they would succeeed if they had interesting stuff to talk about.

Dude - I know you like to push your opinion here and that's cool I love a good debate... but this happens all the time. This is a freaking petition. A petition man! Calm down, no one is trying to pass a law to ban him. As I said, this happens all the time go ask Imus or Opie and Anthony. People get fired for what they say. Well let me clarify, its not what they say its how the public reacts to it. The almighty dollar rules all and if sponsors feel a personality is doing more hard than good they will pull out, then the person is fired. My god dude, do you really believe this is the return of the fairness doctrine? Do you want them to stop the petition? I thought you were about free speech? All a petition is people writing down their opinion. Honestly man, the Religious right has a petition for everything, I wouldn't be surprised if there was one out there against me posting this. Now a petition is a big thing to the Republicans all of the sudden? Let's talk about that shoe being on the other foot....

CNSNews.com used to be called Conservative News Service. They only changed the name because of legal issues with the name. They're still as conservative as ever. Definitely not what you'd call 'unbiased'.
