Style: Judah’s a tactician whose style is a mix of the ground and pound and Brazillian Jiu Jitsu of MMA fame. He can high fly when it’s called for but usually he’s a psychology machine picking a body part and wearing it down until it’s unusable thereby crippling his opponent for a tactical win.
Moveset: The moveset Judah employs is one of powerful strikes and kicks coupled with judo throws and BJJ submissions. As already mentioned he can high fly when needed to switch his game plan up. However, some of his more utilized moves are listed below :
Pray prey pray!- This is essentially a Jujigatame that can be applied from a standing or ground position. This move is dangerous as it can be applied anytime that the arm is presented to Judah.
Jungle lock- The jungle lock is essentially a key lock. When his opponent is in a ground position Judah will often lock in this hold and pound his opponents head with powerful knees rendering the opponent defenseless.
Jungle bomb- The jungle bomb is a hammerlock power bomb.
Lion’s Pride- This is essentially a grapevined kneebar. Again this move can be applied from a standing or ground position.
Lion’s Bite- Top Rope German suplex
History: Judah was recruited from High School by the United States Marine Corps for his freestyle wrestling prowess in 1996. He represented the USMC for four years as one of their top heavyweights and was being groomed to represent the U.S. in the 2000 Olympics until he turned pro by signing a contract with the EFWO and debuting as “The Mercenary”. Judah spent 9 months with EFWO until he was summoned home and given news that his only brother had been murdered in a drug deal gone bad. After this horrific news Judah was emotionally and psychologically a train wreck and could not get his career back on track and left EFWO. Only to debut months later in the EWA and the ICW as himself, however, he still could not cope with the loss of his brother suffering a mental breakdown and no-showing several events causing the management of both EWA and ICW to give him his walking papers. These circumstances were not only devastating psychologically but also professionally and financially.
For two years JTL found himself walking the streets of Birmingham, AL with no money and nowhere to lay his head. This stark reality jolted him from his psychological reverie and was one of the catalysts back on his road to redemption. With no money and no home Judah called in a much needed favor to a military buddy. SSgt Dimeka Taylor was a man of unprecedented power to be an enlisted man. Using this connection he was able to re-enlist into the Marine Corps and was promptly sent to Iraq to join the fighting after September 11th. Judah found himself apart of a recon unit that was instrumental in helping the war effort in Afghanistan. The Marine Corps capitalized and honed Judah’s innate ability to identify and exploit weakness in his enemy. Released from active duty in 2006 Judah was eager get back into the Professional Wrestling scene however, when he returned to the states he found that the landscape had changed. The places that he left that were flourishing were either now non-existent or a shell of their former selves. Longing for the competition Judah entered the regional MMA world. With a lot of discipline and sheer will he amassed a MMA record of 20-1 all of his wins coming by submission. Although successful in the regional ranks the regional ranks did not produce the personal or financial satisfaction that he desired. However, a chance net surfing session landed Judah at the ICW site. Learning of their existence again brought Judah one step closer to his quest for redemption. Now, all that remains is for Judah to persuade the management to give him one more chance to redeem his name…that name? Judah “The Lion” Walton.
