Carter James Wilson
Born: September 23, 1979
Place of Birth: Not known. His family never lived in one place for more then a month.
Appearance
Height: 6 feet 2 inches
Weight: A muscular 235 pounds
Atop his head is a rather shaggy growth of black hair. Not very well kept, as far as style or neatness goes, and is usually concealed by a hat of some sort. His face is one of no real emotion, but a sense of darkness, as given off by the goatee covering his chin.
When wrestling, the only attire beyond street clothes that he wears are his father's elbow pads. Other then that, his attire matches that of which he wears during any other event. Usually a pair of jeans, and a T-shirt, not at all any type of outstanding garb.
Entrance
Comes down to the ring, almost methodically, as Overkill's cover of Edgar Winter's instrumental Frankenstein plays throughout the arena. No lights, no pyro, no real fan fare at all. Just music, and the walk down to ring side. Very rarely will he ever have anything to say before a match, but on the occasion, he's never been one to keep his opinions to himself.
Wrestling Moveset
Is considered by almost all the smaller circuit federations he fought in as the total package wrestler. Is best known for his work in street fight-type matches, but he did go through 3 semesters of wrestling school, where he picked up many technical holds and maneuvers. Gravity limits his body from any real top-rope threats, so an aerial assault is not highly emphasized in his arsenal. Still, he has been known to be outwrestled at times, and be forced to resert to using high-risk maneuvers. Still, to put him in one category would be unfair.
He has his share of signature moves, all of which were formerly used and introduced to him by his father:
Goodbye Blue Sky- An extremely dangerous submission maneuver. His opponent is on their back, he grabs one of the
legs so that their foot is in his armpit. He puts his arm under the knee of the victim, and lifts up
the victim's leg and leans back, applying pressure to the foot and ankle, especially the Achilles Tendon. In the minor leauges, he was said to have ripped a man's tendon into 2 pieces during a match.
Seasons Of Wither- Carter's power finisher. It's best described as an Argentine Back Breaker rack, into a brain buster. Carter lifts the victim up across his shoulders so the victim is lying across. Carter has one of the victim's legs hooked and is cradling their neck with his free arm. Carter then falls to the side which the victim's head is on and releases the victim's legs, dropping the victim head/neck first to the mat.
Beyond that, Carter uses various basic wrestling holds, suplexes and maneuvers in his matches. He also has wrestled Hardcore Style in the past, but never felt much respect towards hardcore wrestlers, as all they could rely on were weapons and strength.
Backstory
The life of Carter Wilson has not been one of opening presents on Christmas morning, playing in the backyard, or even going out after school to play with neighborhood friends. His childhood was one filled with moving from town to town. His father was the little known wrestler, Jimmy "Hardy Hammer" Wilson. He hit every town in the United States, working his hardest in the ring, trying desperately to support his family, and to take the next step to becoming a star in the business of professional wrestling. Still, he never got there.
One of the genetic downfalls throughout the Wilson family was a long history of liver and kidney disease, stemming from an abundance of alcoholics. Sadly, Carter's father also fell victim to the family curse. Carter remembers him drinking from the first day he can remember, up to the last day he ever saw him. The legacy of every man's father should be one of respect, and Carter considers his father's to hold great dignity in it's own right.
It was 1995. Wrestling wasn't at it's peak of popularity, but times in the industry were changing. Carter was 16. He had been through numerous high schools, and really kept his displeasure to himself, as he held his father in such high regard, he didn't want any quarrells between he and Jimmy.
As the industry grew and grew, Jimmy still couldn't get to the next level. He was remembered to hit rock bottom in the middle of February in Akron, Ohio. He had grown astray from his wife and children due to his wife's anger with their nomadic lifestyle, but she still believed in her husband, and loved him. Still, Jimmy was psychologically a mess. Seeing nowhere to turn, he hit the bottle hard, but also developed a severe heroin addiction.
On one fateful night in an Akron high school gym, Jimmy had a match scheduled against a wrestler who had gone up and down between the WWF and the Indy feds Jimmy worked for. This was supposed to be the match that put Jimmy over the top, got he and his family into a more relaxed and normal lifestyle. Still, Jimmy was a nervous wreck. Before his match, he went on an insanely dangerous heroin binge. He showed up, and was clearly not himself.
In the match, the fate feared by all wrestlers came to be. With his family sitting in the front row, Jimmy engaged in what seemed to be a routine suplex. In a moment of disarray, the spot went bad. Jimmy's opponent dropped him square on his neck. The gym, not exactly packed full, fell deadly silent.
Doctors did as much as possible for him, but there wasn't enough. James Douglas Wilson had died, and his family was absolutely shell shocked. Carter really didn't know what to do, or think. He was shocked. He held his father in such high regard, he was so insanely distraught that he couldn' even bring himself to tears.
Before his death, even though at a young age, Jimmy did leave a will for his family. All his money and possesions were left to his wife, but he did leave Carter one specific and extremely important object:
His bag of wrestling gear. With this, Carter knew what he had to accomplish in life.
Carter was to set out, and become the best professional wrestler throughout the land. This is what his father wanted. Still, Carter could not deal with the burden left on his shoulders, and the death of his role model.
So, he fled. He ran away from the people he was left to take care of, his family. His brother of 3 years would grow up not knowing about his father, or his brother. Carter ran, and ended up at the bottom of a bottle of whiskey.
Carter had picked up right where his father left off. He danced with death, almost killing himself by drinking insane amounts of alcohol. It came to the point where he would up in rehab, thrown in by a woman he met in New York.
Within the walls of rehab, Carter's focus changed. Instead of worrying about basically killing himself, he turned his attention to carrying out his father's name. After he checked out, he turned his back on the demons still taunting him deep down.
Instead, he picked up his father's wrestling bag, and shipped off to wrestling school. 3 semesters, and 4 Indy feds later, he wound up in EWA.
In EWA, he has one goal: Destroy the primadonnas who didn't earn their way to the top. Carter is bound to run through the EWA like a blade, and get to where his father once dreamed.
