I kinda forgot it was Comiccon right now.
Interesting stuff that's been announced: Post Civil War, there will be two Avengers books. New Avengers, and Mighty Avengers. Bendis will be writing both. He refuses to say who the teams on either will be, but says that New will be a bit darker and involve the SHIELD conspiracy shit its been dealing with for a while. Mighty will be big, superhero smashy sort of stories, it sounds like.
Brian Vaughan's going to be writing a Dr. Strange mini. Thats probably only exciting to me.
Some other stuff too probably, but its late and i'm tired.

My favorite Comiccon happening: Robert Kirkman (Of Invincible and The Walking Dead) showed up to Todd McFarlane's panel in the crowd and asked him why he doesn't make new comics anymore. I think thats worthy of note.
Also, Ironman movie. Newsarama has a bitch'n Adi Granov (Or whatever his last name is) teaser poster.

Oh, and I forgot to mention this yesterday, but the concept for Grant Morrison's Authority run is both insane and fucking awesome. They're going to get in a fight with Wildcats, get thrown into the bleed, and end up in the real world. Crazy shit should happen.

oh no i'm posting again DC SHIT! First off, more cartoons YAY. I fucking loved JLU and am still sad that its gone. But frankly if I had to lose JLU for this, I am willing to accept that: He continued, saying that DC is looking to do a series of titles that will tell the character bits and stories that were important to fans, and will be working with the comic book creators on them. The first title will be the previously-leaked animated film version of Darwyn Cooke's The New Frontier. Cooke will work with Stan (JLU) Berkowitz on the film, with Cooke providing key art direction. Fuck yes. New Frontier is by a large margin my favorite mini ever, and it'll make a fucking amazing movie if they do it right. Other cartoons announced are Superman/Doomsday (meh) and a Teen Titans "Judas Contract" movie (meh). Also exciting to me: DC displayed the George Perez cover to Brave and the Bold #1, a November debuting ongoing series by Waid and Perez. Hell yeah. I've been excited about this since it was announced last comiccon. For those unaware, Brave and the Bold was kinda like Marvel Team-Up, except DC, and bigger. The basic idea is that each issue has a team up, and the next issue includes half the last one. So, say, if the first issue was Superman and Batman, the next issue could be Batman and Green Arrow, and the next issue could be Green Arrow and Green Lantern, and so on and so forth. At least, thats how they described the concept last comiccon, and I hope they keep it. Also, Dan Didio is still a homo.

I'm pretty excited about the Brave and the Bold...
It was one of my favorites, when I was like 5-8(it stopped around then.)
I think it's mostly going to be like say:
Batman and GL team up for a few issues, then its a few other guys. The ORIGINAL gimmick was that which you described.
Perez on art = can't wait. Perez has always been one of my favorites from way back when he did Fantastic Four in the 80s before Byrne.

Waid said they were going to do the original gimmick, at least the last time i've seen anyone discuss the book.
