Hello boys and girls time for you to learn yourselves some history. Many moons ago back in the heyday of the wrestling wars between WWF(forget this WWE crap they will always be WWF!) and WCW(What Crappy Wrestling), there were numerous upstarts trying to dethrone the big two. Slowly but surely there was a small fed..orignally started as lark by some drunk WWF and WCW fans who drank to much Shiner Bach. LWN, from here we saw the pure wrestler. Not the ego inflated Triple H's and Shawn Michaels. But the true wrestler. The kind of wrestler who was cocerned with putting on a show for fans who had driven thousands of miles to see the spectale that is wrestling. The kind of wrestler who did mind doing the "job." Because it made for a compelling story line. Slowly the "marks" and the "smarks" began to take notice of wrestlers. Names began being talked about names like In The Rafters, Smackdown, Hoyakillah, Healius, Nonz, Archarngel, J-Pac(R.I.P.), Hey Kid, Really Krazy, Hexane, DoPlo and even a crazy-ass wrestler named Dave Dudley. These were wrestlers that worked there asses off every night, not for money but for love of the game. LWN seemed destined to take hold of the wrestling world.
However just as things were on the rise, things began to fall apart. Call it ego, call it backstage politics, call it abuse of power by those in charge..LWN had a taint. Wrestlers fired on mysterious circumstances, J-Pac getting fired...Dave Dudley getting banned for life from ever entering a LWN with a restriction that if he set foot on premises of any LWN show he would be thrown in jail.
Some wreslters retired into obscurity, some wrestlers joined some other upstart feds. Feds like EFWO, a place where if you knew the bookers you would get a push, if not then sucks to be you. Other wrestlers craved something more, and a little known fed was created HCW. Due to money constraints HCW folded it's doors as quickly as it began, but a core group of talent joined. Namely the crazy man Dave Dudley.
Years past, and LWN folded it's doors and faded into obscurity. A congromelate of bankers joined togther and formed EWA. The fans saw some of the shows and raved over the shows, plus some of the old LWN stars were there. In one of the greatest swerves ever pulled, EWA one upped LWN by signing Dave Dudley and giving him the title. Thus cementing Dudley as one of the greatest heels of all time. Were talking 4 Horseman Heel, or Freddie Fabuolus or Harley Race heel. The kind of guy who would get booed out of the arena and love every freaking minute of it.
While EWA was on the rise, Dudley was driving a group of people to form a new idea for a fed. The place was going to be called I.C.W. or Insane Championship Wrestling. Dudley got into contact with a media mogul in PA named Mark Andrew McPhail. He convinced him to put up some cash and ICW was born.
ICW started off slowly. Unsure of what to make of the upstart fed, people wrote them off as a fad, a lark. However Dudley had other designs, he signed young hungry talent left and right, people like Scottie PP7, Amalek, Hacksaw Jim, Thanos, Johnny Q Public. This core group of wrestlers began in gyms, but grew. They invaded EFWO, and made a mockery of them by melting down ther coveted world title, and turning it in a toilet trophy.
EWA was going on strong but it had competition, it was losing interest. People were paying attention of ICW.
During this run everyone was in awe of what was considered to be the epitomy of what ICW was. Dave Dudley vs. Amalek: INFERNO MATCH. This was ICW. Spotfest? CHECK
Blood? CHECK
2 Wrestlers in there prime? CHECK
A Great Finish? CHECK
The criticis loved it the smarts and the marks loved it. Everyone loved it. Everyone in the arena knew they had seen soemthing special, and the fans voiced there approval, even more so after the PPV was off the air, the crows applauded and chanted ICW! for 5 minutes. Kayfbe was even broken when a broken and battered Dave Dudley and Amalek appeared and embraced. Even though in the ring they were enemies they had a respect outside of the ring. This was ICW. This was the beginning of greatness.
However as it is often said when things are at the best, things are also at the worst. Despite his best efforts to keep the FED alive ..Dudley saw his beloved ICW die.
Forced to wrestle elsewhere Dudley appeared in various feds, EFWO HCW, EWA. But backstage politics always cut him out and he left in disgust.
Valiantly he never gave up on ICW and tried to push some momentum behind it. Even buying up all the shares from Mr. McPhail and becoming defacto owner of ICW.
This as it is said is where the story gets interesting.
Many speculate at this moment Dudley became the thing he often fouight against.
Power Mad
Egotisitcal
Manniacl
Sadisitic
This was shown when on one fabled night when Dudley speaking through Scottie PP7 fired over hald the ICW roster. Veterans like Johnny Q Public, were in shock.
Shortly there after through bad decisions ICW once again closed. Although it tried it once again never acheived the luster it once had.
We turn now to the present.
ICW is back. It's trying to reclaim the throne. All the other feds have died. But ICW refuses to die.
Invitations have been extended to all. No one is sure who will show up.
One man has expressed interest however.
He has scores to settle. Accounts to settled.
This will be Victory Not Vengance.
NOTE To all the OLD Folks: I know I played with the history some but I altered a bit to fit the narrative.
